Terms of use

These terms apply when you use Clever Candidate. By creating an account you agree to them.

Who runs Clever Candidate

The operator of this installation hasn't entered their name and address yet (settings LEGAL_NAME, LEGAL_ADDRESS and LEGAL_EMAIL).

What Clever Candidate does

Clever Candidate keeps your job search in one place: your CV and skills, the jobs you save with their status and history, and the companies you apply to. You can apply by e-mail from the app. Personal accounts for job seekers are free. Agencies and career services can buy a plan for a workspace and invite the job seekers they support.

Your account

• Give your real name and an e-mail address you can read. An account is for one person.
• Keep your password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
• You are responsible for what you do with your account, in particular for the e-mails you send.

Fair use

Use Clever Candidate for your own job search, or to support the job seekers in your workspace. In particular:

• Send only applications and messages you wrote yourself, to people you want to work for. No advertising, no mass mailings, no spam. E-mails sent through our mail server are limited, for example to 50 recipients a day.
• Don't upload or send anything unlawful, and nothing that infringes other people's rights.
• Don't try to get into other people's accounts, to get around the limits, or to slow down or break the service.

If an account breaks these rules, we may stop it from sending e-mail, suspend it or close it. We tell you why, unless the law forbids it.

Your data

What you put into Clever Candidate stays yours. You allow us to store and process it only to run the service for you. The privacy policy explains what we store and why. You can change or delete your data at any time, and delete your account in Settings.

Paid plans

• Prices and what is included are shown on the Plan & billing page before you buy. Payment is handled by Stripe, in advance for each month or year.
• The plan renews automatically until you cancel it. When you cancel, it stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• When you switch between paid plans, the difference is charged or credited for the rest of the period.
• If a payment fails and isn't made up, the workspace returns to the free plan.

Availability

We work to keep Clever Candidate running and back up the data every day, but we can't promise that it is always available or free of errors. Keep your own copies of important documents, such as your CV.

Liability

We are liable without limit for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise we are liable only for breaches of essential duties, and only for damage that is typical and foreseeable. This doesn't affect liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We can end the service, or your use of it, with at least 30 days' notice by e-mail; for paid plans, notice runs to the end of the paid period. We can close an account right away if it seriously breaks these terms.

Changes

If we change these terms, we tell you by e-mail or in the app at least 30 days before. If you keep using Clever Candidate after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.
